In or Out: Iman in Rachel Roy

Do we really need to ask?

Well...yes. Apparently we do:

at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City in Rachel Roy.

Darlings, our brains are short-circuiting. Can it be that Iman, Goddess of All That is Fierce and Fabulous in the World, can it be that she went out wearing something a little *gasp!* ... hiddy? Oh, say it isn't so, Mrs. Bowie! This is like a national tragedy or something. Years from now we'll all be able to answer the question, "Where were you when you found out Iman wore something ugly?"

Even though there are tears streaming down our faces and we've broken several vases and decorative bowls in our grief and confusion, we're going to try and break this one down.

Ow. It hurts.

Okay, first off: that skirt. It belongs under a Christmas tree and only under a Christmas tree. It does not belong wrapped around the giraffe-like legs of a Somalian diva. Second, the jacket. Actually, we kind of like it; at least the lapels and collar. We think the length might be wrong, though. Same collar with a bolero length would be perfect. Finally, the color. This may pain us most of all because it's leading us to say the following: Honeys, don't be like Iman. Don't wear three separate pieces in the same color. It makes you look like a Barbie or a politician's wife. At least the runway version had some slight variation in color between the three pieces.

Oh, Iman! Now is not the time to be making these sorts of mistakes, poodle! After the debacle of the Project Runway finale the nation is turning its lonely eyes to you. (woowoowoo). The Fashion Show launches in less than a week and we're all counting on you to show us the way, girl! Now go home and put on something awe-inspiring. We'll wait.

OUT.

(Oh! It hurts!)
